Liu said that the CPC values the rule of law greatly and it is important that major tasks to advance this law should be laid out on the fourth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee.

The senior official is also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee.

Liu added that China will follow the path of socialist rule of law and build a socialist legal system, both with Chinese characteristics. It is also set to create a socialist country ruled by law, he said.

Through the invitation of the LPRP, the CPC delegation led by Liu arrived in the country on Friday and was set to attend the seminar.

In response, Bounthong Chitmany, a member of the Political Bureau of the LPRP Central Committee and president of the Central Control Committee of the LPRP, said in his speech that Laos is also willing to communicate with China in the bid to advance the socialist rule of law.

Liu is scheduled to meet LPRP General Secretary and Lao President Choummaly Sayasone. He said that China and Laos are a community that shares common destiny with great strategic importance.

Choummaly, on the other hand, said that Laos will continue to cooperate with China for the said exchanges.

Both countries are prepared to have constant talks to uphold mutual trust, carry out a strong economic cooperation and assist people-to-people exchanges.
