"Castle" Season 8 is going on a hiatus this week. Episode 6 will not be airing until Nov. 9, 2015 as the show will remain off-air for two weeks. The upcoming segment of Nathan Fillion (Richard Castle) and Stana Katic (Kate Beckett) starrer ABC's police procedural is titled "Cool Boys" and sees the return of fan-favourite Adam Baldwin's Detective Slaughter. In Episode 5 "The Nose," fans saw Kate and Richard solve a murder mystery with the help of a witness with the peculiar ability of heightened sense of smell. Meanwhile, the results of Sergeant's exam are out and the only one who makes it through is Espo (Jon Huertas).
Moving on to Episode 6, spoilers suggest that "Castle" Season 8 will shift its focus a bit in the upcoming segment. According to the synopsis (via Spoiler TV) for "Cool Boys," Detective Slaughter returns looking for help from Richard on an important robbery case. The stakes are very high and the case involves risks.
In an unexpected twist in the story, Slaughter becomes the prime suspect in the crime and the only person who could help him clear his name is Richard. When a dead body of a person involved in the heist is found, Slaughter finds himself on the hot seat. However, Richard is not giving up on his friend so easy. He is determined to find out whether Slaughter is guilty or innocent.
A very short promo video for "Castle" Season 8 Episode 6 "Cool Boys" has been released by the network. The video reveals nothing about the forthcoming segment except that it returns after three weeks (now two weeks). Scroll down to watch the promo.
For those who are curious, on Oct. 26, ABC will be rebroadcasting "Castle" Season 7 Episode 7 titled "Once Upon a Time in the West," according to TV Line. The show remains pre-empted on Nov. 2 as the slot has been reserved for the broadcast of CMA Awards.
