Naughty Dog has released a trailer for its “Uncharted 4: A Thief's End” multiplayer at Sony's Paris Games Week conference.
The American video game developer revealed the 60fps/900p multiplayer news, which is quite different from the 30fps/1080p you’ll see in the single-player campaign, according to PlayStation Lifestyle.
Christophe Balestra, co-president of Naughty Dog, said that players can expect an open beta. He also discussed several classes available, as well as some of the supernatural abilities, called Mysticals, involved in the competitive combat. Players will also have access to sidekicks, which are AI teammates that can be summoned in tough situations.
The “Uncharted 4: A Thief's End” multiplayer trailer also showed off some more interesting ideas. It had a weaponless character that could dodge bullet fire and rush down an opponent. The game feature a character using a grappling hook to swing high into the air and bash down onto an enemy player, and a character that tossed an artifact into a courtyard, which spawned a giant idol that spewed some sort of poisonous gas.
Protagonist Nathan Drake, mentor Victor Sullivan, journalist Elena Fisher, and thief Chloe Frazer all made appearances, wielding a variety of weapons and abilities. The ending of the trailer displayed supernatural elements across multiplayer modes, Gamespot reported.
The game multiplayer beta for owners of “Uncharted: The Nathan Drake” Collection running from Dec. 4 to Dec. 13. It will feature team deathmatch, with public demos being held at Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) Australia and Lisboa Games Week.
“Uncharted 4: A Thief's End” will officially launch on March 18, 2016 for PlayStation 4.
