Vine stars Nash Grier, 17, and Cameron Dallas, 21, are set to star in the comedy drama titled "The Outfield" opposite Disney's "Liv and Maddie" star Joey Bragg, 19. The three will play Varsity baseball players who are also childhood best friends.
While they are both known as Vine stars, "The Outfield" is not Grier and Dallas' first movie. For Grier, it is his second film as he previously starred in the comedy film "Janoskians: Untold and Untrue."
Dallas' first movie is the 2013 comedy film "Frog Kingdom." He also starred in the 2014 comedy film "Expelled" opposite Matt Shively and Lia Marie Johnson and appeared in two episodes of "American Odyssey" season 1 before "The Outfield."
On the other hand, Bragg starred in several films before "The Outfield" including the TV films "Gulliver Quinn" and "Bits and Pieces." Aside from "Liv and Maddie," he has also appeared in "Awesomeness TV" and "Jessie." He is also set to star in a new film with "The Goldbergs" star Sean Giambrone, Twist Magazine has learned.
Joining Grier, Dallas and Bragg in "The Outfield" cast are Melanie Paxson, Olive Stuck, Caroline Sunshine, Yancey Arias, Deborah S. Craig, Jordan Diambrini, Alan Smyth, Bobby Kruger, Fawnda McMahan, Sheldon White, Michael Hyland and John Barbolla, among others.
Written by "Camp Takota" writer Lydia Genner, "The Outfield" is directed by documentary director Michael Goldfine and Eli Gonda, who directed one "Husbands" episode in 2013.
"The Outfield" will exclusively release to Apple's iTunes on Nov. 10, Variety has learned. Watch the movie's trailer here:
