The New York Jets (4-2) are looking to redeem themselves in Week 8 as they visit the Oakland Raiders (3-3) at the O.co Coliseum on November 1st, Sunday for a 2015-2016 NFL season encounter.
After two straight victories, the Jets were tripped by the reigning Super Bowl champions New England Patriots, 30-23, last Sunday at the Gillette Stadium as Tom Brady led a furious fourth quarter surge to come from behind with the win, as per the New York Daily News.
Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had a decent afternoon, throwing 22-of-39 for 295 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, and two sacks for a 73.7 QBR and 97.7 rating. However, running back Chris Ivory, the AFC's leading rusher so far in the season, was held down to 41 yards in 17 carries.
Oakland made a huge return to the season after the Week 6 bye, pulling off a huge 37-29 win against the San Diego Chargers at the Qualcomm Stadium also last Sunday, as reported by USA Today.
Sophomore starting signal caller Derek Carr was superb in the match, passing an almost flawless 24-of-31 for 289 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions, and one sack for a QBR of 91.2 and rating of 137.7.
The Raiders have the advantage over the Jets not only because they are playing at home but because of the momentum they created in their previous victory.
Prediction: Raiders win, 35-31.
