Speaker company Sonos recently launched its newest product, the Play:5. The company promises that its new product will deliver top notch sound quality, ease of use, simple setup and access to millions of online content.
The Sonos Play:5 works in the same way as its predecessor. No setup is needed and using it is as easy as pulling it out of the box and press the button on the speaker to make it accessible to any mobile device within its reach.
Every connected speaker can be configured for a specific use. Users can configure each speaker installed in different rooms. The device even has a party mode where every connected speaker will play the same music, according to Tech Crunch.
What appeals most about Sonos devices is that they are relatively easy to use and connect. There is no need to worry about wires, except for the power cord, and no holes needs to be drilled. The sound quality is also top notch and can easily rival any other all-in-one surround system.
Sonos speakers can be controlled using a smartphone or a tablet. There is an app available on both iOS and Android which is free to download. The app is also available on desktop computers but many of those who have tried it said that it does not quite as well as the mobile version. Using the app, users can access their online playlist on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and Pandora. Apple Music sis currently unavailable but Sonos said that it will fix the problem before the end of the year.
Sonos speakers cover a broad price range. For starters, Sonos Play:1 costs $199. The larger Sonos Play:3 costs $299 while the high-end Sonos Play:5 costs $499, according to USA Today.
