Fans of "Castle" season 8 are once again reacting negatively on Kris Polaha's casting.
Just recently, co-showrunners Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley told TV Line that Polaha will be playing the role of a public defender in season eight's finale episode.
"He's playing a public defender who comes in during the fall finale 'Mr. & Mrs. Castle' and presents with some unexpected complexity. He's a little bit more than what he seems," Hawley said.
Winter added that Polaha's character wouldn't immediately get along with the people at 12th precinct.
In fact, he won't be on the same page as them when it comes to dealing with his client who also happens to be a murderer.
With this, fans started speculating that Polaha's character will also rock the boad and further destroy Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett's (Stana Katic) marriage.
On TV Line's website, one fan @DC wrote, "So the new Castle character (like we need any more, especially with the main characters being at odd and no longer together) is going to be more complex and more to him than expected. GREAT!!!"
Another fan @Iame wrote, "I can see what they're doing, they will keep adding new characters so when the season comes to an end we'll realize it's been weeks since we've seen Castle or Beckett."
In the earlier episodes of "Castle" season 8, Kate decided to temporarily take a break from her marriage to Rick.
The co-showrunners received a major backlash online, but they said that no divorce will take place on the show this season.
"Castle" season 8 airs Mondays at 10p.m. ET on ABC.
