"Sons of Anarchy" prequel was highly awaited but looks like "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off is sure coming to woo fans. Apparently, "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off titled "The First 9" is under production finally at FX studios. Kurt Sutter is confirmed to sit in Executive Producer seat for the spin-off.
FX Productions' "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off will follow Mayans. According to Entertainment Weekly, the storyline will be based on Oakland-based Hispanics. The report explained, "The Oakland-based Hispanic MC gang that had quite a rocky history with SAMCRO across seven seasons. In the original series, the Mayans run heroin factories and are also involved in prostitution. Their cuts bear the legend "Los Asesinos de Dios" - Assassins of God."
Although, there is one more plot revolving around, which hint towards "Sons of Anarchy" prequel. According to Inquisitr, Kurt Sutter had expressed interest in making a prequel more of 10 or 12 episodes and the plotline for the same would have followed John Teller and Piney.
Although, Sutter is playing very carefully around the script as he doesn't want to hamper the already established mythology. So, a prequel is kind of has taken a back seat. The Mayans story in "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off is sure to create the hype.
"Sons of Anarchy" prequel/ spin-off is not yet confirmed to have little part for Charlie Hunnam, who plays the character of Jax Teller.
"Sons of Anarchy" has broken all the records and stands tall as most popular show by FX Productions. The last number of viewers touched whopping 9.2 million. It maintains to be FX's highest rated series till date.
"Sons of Anarchy" has travelled a long journey. Its Season 7 finale, which premiered on December 9, 2014 garnered 6.40 million viewers.
