"Quantico" show runner Josh Safran warned the fans of the ABC thriller series he created to avoid getting too attached to the characters except for Alex Parrish, which is played by Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra.
"I think the only person that is safe to get attached to is Alex," Safran said of the "Quantico" protagonist who is suspected of committing a terrorist attack during an interview with EW Radio.
Safran explained that all of the characters in "Quantico" have a target on their back and they could be either the terrorist or a victim. The "Quantico" creator added that the ABC series only works if the viewer is "actually willing to deal with the realities of sacrificing characters that need to be sacrificed to tell the right story."
Prior to this, Safran shared to Entertainment Weekly the consequences of Alex Parrish discovering the identity of Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin). The "Quantico" show runner said it sent Alex Parrish reeling because of the fact that Ryan Booth lied to her.
On the other hand, Safran explained that Alex Parrish is not going to "hit the emotional dark places that she did when learning about her father" but it is going to simply make her "double down on her focus on being an agent and push all other things to the side."
With Chopra as Alex Parrish and McLaughlin as Ryan Booth, "Quantico" also stars Josh Hopkins as Liam O'Connor, Aunjanue Ellis as Miranda Shaw, Yasmine Al Massri as Nimah Amin, Johanna Braddy as Shelby Wyatt, Tate Ellington as Simon Asher and Graham Rogers as Caleb Haas, among others.
