The most awaited guest appearance of Britney Spears as herself in "Jane the Virgin" season 2 episode 5 titled "Chapter Twenty-Seven" is finally happening. The episode will feature the secret past of the "Womanizer" singer and Rogelio de la Vega (Jaime Camil).
In "Jane the Virgin" season 2 episode 5, Spears checks in at the Marbella. The revelation that she and Rogelio de la Vega share a secret past will ensue, Los Angeles Times has learned.
In a recent interview with TV Guide, Camil explained that in "Jane the Virgin" season 2 episode 4 titled "Chapter Twenty-Six," the very rich Milos (Max Bird-Ridnell) proposed to Petra Solano (Yael Grobglas) at the end of the episode and may have hired Spears for the wedding.
While he did not want to share "Jane the Virgin" season 2 episode 5 spoilers, Camil did share that in the upcoming episode, his character will confront Spears when he finds out she is at the Marbella "in a very, very funny scene (and) very dramatic, Rogelio-style."
"You know how he is sometimes, or most of the time, I should say," Camil said of his "Jane the Virgin" character. He added that Rogelio's confrontation with Spears does not go well so they put a restraining order on him, which prohibits him from going near the hotel.
Meanwhile, Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) realizes that she is finally ready to make a decision about her love life while Alba Villanueva (Ivonne Coll) has taken the necessary steps to become a citizen but that may not be easy because of the past of Xiomara Villanueva (Andrea Navedo).
Aside from playing Jane Villanueva in "Jane the Virgin," Rodriguez is also set to star in Deepwater Horizon opposite "Ted 2" star Mark Wahlberg and "Teen Wolf" star Dylan O'Brien.
