With "Sense8" season 2's release date slated for June 2016, the cast and crew of the Netflix original series are already busy filming. Actor Brian J. Smith, who plays Will Gorski, had been dropping hints via Twitter on what to expect on the premiere episode.
Although the official release date has yet to be confirmed, Fansided speculated that the series would return by June 2016, assuming that it would follow the same trend with most of the Netflix originals. The outlet cited "House of Cards" as an example. The show's first season aired on Feb. 1, 2013, while the second and third release was Feb 14, 2014 and Feb. 27, 2015, respectively.
Given this scenario, it was said that "Sense8" season 2 will likely premiere on June 3, 2016.
Fans of the series had been eagerly awaiting for the series' renewal ever since the finale aired. Even if season 1 ended with a cliffhanger, many pointed out that it should not serve as an indication that the show will be renewed. Truth is, many shows have already left fans hanging in the air when the network just decided to pull the plug without warning.
After several online petitions, Netflix finally caved in and announce the renewal just in time for the Sensates' birthday on Aug. 8. Although details of the coming season has been kept under wraps, Smith promised viewers that season 2 is going to be "worth the wait."
Meanwhile, in an interview with Assignment X, showrunner Michael J. Straczynski recently hinted that the coming episodes will focus on relationships and how it would affect the cluster.
