The Redmond company recently revealed its newest operating system in September this year at a San Francisco event, but Microsoft only unveiled the Windows 10's enterprise features.

"They will find all the tools they're used to finding, with all the apps and tools they're used to today," said Myerson during the Windows 10 enterprise reveal.

Among the things that are expected to be discussed at the consumer reveal is the Windows 10's sync feature across devices, including tablets, smartphones, PCs and its video game console Xbox One. Rumors about a desktop version of Cortana, Microsoft's digital assistant similar to Apple's Siri, have also surfaced.

Windows users interested in sneaking a peek at the new Windows 10 can sign up for Microsoft's Windows Insider Program, which allows users to try the pre-released builds of the new operating system. The program aims to collect feedback and data from the users to continually tweak and fix bugs in the upcoming OS.

Journalists are not the only ones who can get details on the Windows 10 consumer reveal as Microsoft will be live-streaming the whole event on January 21.
