The Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets were two of the Carmelo Anthony's most persistent suitors.

According to a report, despite claims to the contrary, the Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets are still coveting the services of the Syracuse product.

From the Chicago Bulls blog Pippen Ain't Easy, we find the following declaration.

"But if Carmelo Anthony indicated that he might be willing to waive his no-trade clause, then the Bulls might have to consider throwing an offer in there. My bet is that in the end the Houston Rockets will pry Melo away from the Knicks, but the Bulls would be remiss if the SF became available and they didn't make a pitch."

To be fair, both Houston and Chicago are big market cities although they are definitely not the same as the Big Apple. However, from a basketball standpoint and depending on who they would send to the Knicks, adding Melo to these teams would make them contenders.

From the Bulls standpoint, the PAE proposed sending Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol. The trade works in the Trade Machine and both players would be great for the triangle. Noah is a center who can pass and play defense while Pau has been a Phil Jackson protégé with the Lakers.

It would also free up minutes for rookie Bobby Portis, a promising rookie that was considered a steal for the Bulls but has been relegated to the bench because of the Bulls congested frontline.

For the Rockets, their fans are also debating the possibility. From the Clutch Fans forum, a trade proposed will send Corey Brewer, Clint Capela, Terrence Jones and KJ McDaniels  in exchange for Anthony. The debate hinges on whether that haul is too much. There could be probably changes based on what the Knicks would ask.

Will Carmelo Anthony eventually be traded and to which city is he willing to waive his no-trade clause? Would he rather stay with the Knicks and risk the possibility of never winning a championship?
