"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder recently spoke very highly of his wife Nikki Reed.
In an interview with WGNO, the actor gushed over his wife, and said that he feels extremely lucky to have found the woman he will spending the rest of his life with.
"The most incredible thing, the most unbelievable is having an incredible partner to go through this life with. That's what it's about. I'm so grateful," he said.
However, fans are now speculating that Somerhalder simply said positive things about his wife so that fans will stop focusing on his plans to file for a divorce.
Just recently, Celeb Dirty Laundry claimed that the actor and the "Sleepy Hollow" star are having some marital issues especially when it comes to having kids.
In a previous interview, Somerhalder was asked if he had any plans to have kids. At that time, the actor said that he's ready anytime.
The publication then claimed that Reed is the one who isn't ready to have children with her husband.
One of the reasons cited was the fact that the actress is currently part of a FOX series, and she wants to prioritize her acting career.
Meanwhile, there were also some rumors that Somerhalder wants to get back together with his ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev.
Although these rumors have been around even before he got married, fans of Delena on "The Vampire Diaries" want to see the ex-couple get back together either on the show or in real life.
