"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 star Ian Somerhalder and wife Nikki Reed won't get a divorce.
An insider previously told OK! Magazine that the couple has been having issues about their marriage, as well as when is the best time to get pregnant.
"They're arguing a lot. Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant now," the source said.
This statement seemed to support what Somerhalder told Entertainment Tonight a few months back.
At that time, the actor, who plays the role of Damon Salvatore, said that he's ready to have children, but not necessarily right now.
Meanwhile, Celeb Dirty Laundry previously claimed that Somerhalder and Reed's animal rights campaigns are just being used to shield their marital issues.
"To combat the growing number of reports of Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed's divorce, they have a created a video supporting a charitable cause close to Nikki's heart - animal rights. This show of unity is pretty much a positive way to do damage control," the publication noted.
However, it is believed that this report is true because the couple is not using their campaigns to pretend that they have a perfect marriage.
Truth is, Somerhalder and Reed both acknowledge the fact that they have an imperfect marriage that they want to both work hard on.
In other news, there are also some rumors linking Somerhalder to his ex-girlfriend and former co-star Nina Dobrev.
As of late, there is still no confirmation on whether or not the actress will return to the hit The CW series.
