Giada De Laurentiis admitted that she had a difficult time moving on following her divorce with husband Todd Thompson. After 11 years of marriage, the couple has decided to go on their separate ways.
In an interview with The Good Life, via ABC News, de Laurentiis shared that she had been afraid to live on her own after the divorce. The celebrity chef said that since they have been together for more than 26 years, (they started dating when she was 19) it definitely took a lot of time getting used to life without Thompson.
De Laurentiis admitted that she has not fully moved on, but is slowly getting there.
"I don't have the answers; I'm figuring them out as I go," she shared.
De Laurentiis added that she is also getting used to living without Thompson. When they were still married, she said that her husband would do everything in the house, from setting the alarm to hooking up the television. Now that she is living alone, she proudly said that she could do all of that things, and more, all on her own.
The chef added that she spent most of her time in the kitchen after the divorce. She shared that cooking, learning new recipes definitely helped her cope up.
In other news, de Laurentiis recently admitted that she dating someone new- producer Shane Farley. Although the chef insisted that they only started dating after the divorce, insiders told Page Six, via Radar Online, that de Laurentiis and Farley met when they were both married.
The publication added that Farley's wife was "devastated" when she learned how quickly the producer has moved on.
