"Fifty Shades Darker" fans continue to wait for new updates regarding the upcoming sequel.
Just recently, some updates were released by Design N Trend for the Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan starrer.
According to the publication, details for the movie are still being kept under wraps primarily because nothing is really happening yet.
As of late, three new characters in the sequel have not yet been cast because book author E.L. James and her entire team haven't tapped a new casting director yet.
Thus, the roles of Mrs. Robinson, Jack Hyde and Leila Williams haven't been cast. Additionally, it seems that auditions for the roles wouldn't take place until next year.
Meanwhile, the publication also revealed that there are some production crew changes to "Fifty Shades Darker."
Unlike "Fifty Shades of Grey," Sam Taylor-Johnson will no longer direct the sequel. The task has been given to James Foley.
In the previous installment, James' husband Niall Leonard wasn't also included in the team of writers.
This time around, he will be working closely with his wife.
In other news, the filming for "Fifty Shades Darker" will begin next year. However, it is still unclear when exactly this would be.
According to The Wrap, the production for the sequel and "Fifty Shades Freed" will be done back to back.
This means that even though details about "Fifty Shades Darker" are stale, fans will learn a whole lot more before "Fifty Shades Freed" is released.
"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
