"Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice" is arguably the most anticipated movie of 2016, and it sets the tone for the "Justice League" in more ways than one.

While Warner Bros. and DC are making it a point not to follow Marvel's paradigm, there's an aspect that Marvel did right and Warner/DC may inevitably follow: the idea of the mastermind/boss villain already acting behind the scenes.

Movie Pilot alleged that the plotline of  Justice League will follow the New 52 line which will have the superhero team face off with Darkseid first.

The article this entry in My Entertainment World, which stated the story of "Justice League, Part One."

"The world's greatest heroes are assembled to form the Justice League, to combat a threat beyond each individual's capabilities. The story involves Darkseid planning the destruction of Earth by blasting it with a ray that'll move Apokolips into the Earth's place."

If this detail is accurate, then the assumption that Brainiac would be the main villain may be incorrect and Movie Pilot hypothesizes that the villain may be reserved for "Man of Steel 2" because he is more of a Superman nemesis.

For Darkseid, this prediction is taken a step further by What Culture, who presumes that, similar to Marvel's Thanos, the boss villain is already moving behind the scenes, as early as "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

"So, having Batman v Superman conclude with Lex - who will have no doubt gotten away with unleashing Doomsday on Metropolis - returning to LexCorp and talking to a villain through a computer monitor would be great, especially if said bad guy was none other than Darkseid, arguably the Justice League's greatest foe."

Will Darkseid be DC's Thanos? It should be noted that Darkseid was the inspiration for Thanos, not the other way around. And this could be DC's way to get back. Just a playful take on the theory, which should be taken with a grain of salt, as always.
