Latest rumors suggest that HTC will be launching its new flagship device, HTC One M10, sometime early in 2016.
LlabTooFeR, an HTC ROM develop, tweeted two weeks ago that the next HTC iteration will launch two to three months after the first quarter release of HTC One X9. If the rumor is to be believed, the company might unveil its latest flagship model in spring to offer a gap from the X9. Although HTC One M10's price has not yet been announced, Android Pit reported that the smartphone would cost approximately $700.
Meanwhile, the HTC One M9 received complaints from users because of overheating problems and thermal throttling. The developer company, HTC, is expected to deliver more with its next model to make up for the negative feedback. HTC One M10 is expected to sport a better CPU that its precursor's Snapdragon 810.
Furthermore, the upcoming flagship might show some changes in the area beneath the bezel, which includes the HTC logo. It is likely that the M10 camera will be better by improving its autofocus technology and optical image stabilization and positioning the aperture at f/2.0.
The same publication added that the recently introduced HTC Vive, an enhanced VR headset, might also be incorporated on the M10. The upcoming smartphone is also rumored to come with USB Type-C support and a 5 to 5.2-inch QHD display.
According to Master Herald, the company will also introduce HTC One X9 early next year. The X9 will sport a 5.5-inch display with 1920 × 1080 resolution and 401 ppi. This smartphone will have a 2.2 GHz octa-core chipset, an expandable 16GB internal memory, 2GB RAM, and it will run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
HTC One X9 will ship with a 13MP main camera and 5MP front camera for selfies. It is speculated that this smartphone will be cheaper than the current A9, which costs $499.
Stay tuned for more details as they trickle in. Meanwhile, here is footage for the upcoming HTC One M10.
