When the Golden State Warriors tied the NBA record for best start at 15-0, the talk immediately shifted on breaking it.

The next question was: Who will they be up against the next game? Upon answering that it's the Los Angeles Lakers, most people (correctly) assumed that the title is in the bag.

Now the question is: When will the Warriors lose a game?

It should be noted that last season, the Golden State Warriors were also the last team standing but the streak was much shorter at 5 wins, and it ended on November 10. Which team broke the streak? The Phoenix Suns.

The Phoenix Suns take on the 16-0 Warriors after Thanksgiving at the Suns' Talking Stick Arena. The Suns their last two games to the Spurs and Pelicans, and are not so remarkable at 7-7. However, Mercury News warns against taking them lightly.

"Traditionally, the Warriors have had trouble in Phoenix. And the Suns have found their groove of late," they noted. "After a slow start, they've jumped to third in the NBA in points per game. They play at a pace even faster than the Warriors. But with two days of rest, Curry & Co. should have the legs to run with Phoenix."

With a backcourt to rival the Splash Brothers in Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight and a rim protector in Tyson Chandler, this team could put up a fight.

If they survive, the Warriors are predicted to go all the way to 20-0 in Charlotte, Stephen Curry's hometown. Their next outings are the Kings and Jazz.

Kobe Bryant has even conceded that the Warriors have a shot at the 1972 Lakers seemingly insurmountable record of 33 straight wins.

The Black Mamba was gracious in their inglorious 111-77 defeat at the hands of the undefeated ones, as he shared with USA Today.

"Yeah, they could do it - because they're good," Bryant said. "It's a very young league, and they've managed to put together a team of extremely intelligent players and extremely versatile players, and great shooters. And so I see no reason why they couldn't continue to extend (the record)."
