The sequel of the "Boruto: Naruto The Movie" is reportedly in the works after the successful run of the movie in many parts of the world.
Reports claimed that manga artist Masashi Kishimoto will continue the adventures of Naruto's son Boruto in a spin-off manga series. For its 15-year run, many of Naruto fans grew up alongside Naruto and watched him rise from being an outcast to be the seventh Hokage of Konoha. The new generation of fans can now do the same with Boruto.
"If I decide that I want to do more stories, perhaps I will, perhaps I won't. That said, there is nothing firmly in the works at this time. Just that there is always a possibility," Masashi said based on the translated interview of Kishimoto that is posted in Reddit.
However, according to Anime New Network, after the over a decade run of Naruto manga, Kishimoto is considering a new serialized sci-fi manga. However, he did not release further information about the upcoming series.
"I've already finalized the character designs. I think the protagonist is one that hasn't been seen before in manga, and while it's me saying it, I think that the character is done very well," he told the publication.
Meanwhile, although the Naruto series concluded last year, Naruto items still sells. This prompted VIZ Media in collaboration with GENERATOR to open the official North American Naruto online store.
The store will sell Naruto merchandise such as t-shirts, hoodies, headbands, belts, action figures, wallets, key chains, posters, drinking cups, and shower curtains. It will also carry gamers soon.
