Adele confirmed that she will embark in a world tour to promote her new album titled "25" would start in Feb. 29, 2016 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The 27-year-old singer once said that participating in a world tour gave a feeling of loneliness, but Adele now revealed that seeing all the fans going to the gigs gives her excitement.
Previously, the British songwriter had a world tour for the critically acclaimed album "21" that involved hits such as "Someone Like You" and "Rolling in the Deep," according to The Guardian.
The singer revealed the news by uploading a humorous video that involved a lot of repeated scenes and laughter from several people.
Likewise, the European cities for the "25" world tour include Copenhagen, Herning, Berlin, Stockholm, Cologne, Hamburg, Barcelona, Lisbon, Zurich, Amsterdam, Paris, Verona and Antwerp. The final tour listed on Adele's website would happen in Antwerp on June 13, 2016.
The announcement of the world tour comes after rumors that Adele would be headlining the iconic Glastonbury Festival next year.
However, the singer told Zane Lowe during an interview that Adele had attended the 2015 Glastonbury event to watch Kanye and remarked that the audience was incredibly massive. As Adele witnessed the huge crowd even as the singer was far from the stage, anxiety about headlining the festival occurred.
In other news, Adele's album "25" was sold for three million copies in just one week. The surprising result effectively beats the previous record held by N'SYNC for "No Strings Attached" that sold 2.42 million copies back in 2001, according to Rolling Stone.
Similarly, "25" beat the record of Oasis for the biggest number of albums sold in a week in the United Kingdom. As of Nov. 26, Thursday, Adele's new album has sold 737,000 copies, which is more than the 696,000 first week total of "Be Here Now" that was released back in 1997.
One of the main factors cited for the success of "25" is the fact that Adele has not allowed music streaming sites from playing the tracks.
