Meanwhile, Black Friday 2015 was not received well by consumers in the United Kingdom on Nov. 27, Friday, according to CNBC.
Tesco's former CEO Terry Leahy remarked that traditional retailers were not able to capitalize on Black Friday. Despite this, the number of online purchases during Black Friday 2015 were higher than the deals made during the same event back in 2014.
Overall, Leahy is positive that the U.K. market would recover from the dismal performance of the consumer market as deflation has affected the country this year.
