New "Captain America: Civil War" spoilers will reveal Spider-Man's role in the war, new details on the Accords and Black Panther and Black Widow's allegiance in the film.
"Avengers" star Robert Downey Jr. teased comic book fans on what will Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Hollland) will do during the events of "Captain America: Civil War". According to Entertainment Weekly, Downey Jr. was found on the set off-camera and was laughing and talking to a person wearing a full Spider-Man outfit except for the mask.
The scene in the film is a full on battle between Tony Stark/Iron Man's (Downey Jr.) team and Steve Rogers/Captain America's (Chris Evans) team and that Spider-Man will be present during that fight and will has joined Stark's side during the conflict.
Downey Jr. stated in an interview that he and co-star Don Cheadle were impress on how Marvel has introduced new heroes from Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and now Spider-Man. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo added that they did a two screen test on Spidey and they were very vocal about his inclusion "Civil War". The Russo's also praised Holland's physicality since he has prepared for the role via videos of his acrobatic skills.
Aside from the from Spider-Man's appearance, new details of the film's version of the Super Human Registration Act have been revealed. "The Accords" has been created by the government to monitor every superhero and superpowered beings in the world and have them work for them.
The superheroes particularly the Avengers will no longer operate freely or unregulated and must abide by the rules and procedures under the United Nations, meaning they will decide where and when will they take action during their activities.
Lastly, there are new details on T'Challa/Black Panther and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) roles in "Captain America: Civil War". Executive Producer Nate Moore stated that Black Panther might potentially work on both sides of the conflict as he explained that T'Challa has not made up his mind on which side to follow and acts according to his own judgement. It is due to his heritage as a royal prince of Wakanda, a nation that has been hostile towards the whole world affected his reasoning and will likely act as third party between Cap and Iron Man's cause, Screenrant reported.
As for Black Widow, Johansson stated in an interview that she is in Iron Man's side atleast at the moment as part of a strategy and Natasha will be in a situation that is new to her during the film. Johansson added that Black Widow will have a much larger role during the conflict and will likely act as a mediator to a much bigger problem than the war itself.
"Captain America: Civil War" will be released in cinemas on May 6, 2016.
