Amazon's Fire Tablet finally reached China, selling at 499 yuan, or about $80, through top Chinese search engine Baidu.

By reaching a deal with Baidu, Amazon skirts Beijing's ban on Google and its services. Baidu, which is the default search engine for the Fire Tablet, also offers apps through 91Wireless, an Android app store that the Chinese giant bought in 2013 for $1.9 billion, reports TechCrunch.

The Fire Tablet includes Word Wise, an English-language learning feature, for Chinese buyers who want to improve their English language skills. It also has Blue Shade and a wide selection of Chinese and English content.

Neil Lindsay, vice president of Amazon Devices, explains in a statement, "With millions of readers already using Kindle e-readers in China, we're excited to now offer another incredibly affordable option, particularly for customers learning to read English."

Amazon launched Fire Tablet in the U.S. in September. It features MicroSD card slot, glossy backs in black, magenta, blue and tangerine colors and access to Amazon Underground. It is a service that provides popular new apps for free complete with DLC and a new service that pre-downloads interesting content before flying.

The 8-inch model sells for $149.99 and the 10.1-inch model for $229.99. For those on tight budget, Amazon has a $49 Fire, which has a MicroSD slot. The 7-inch Fire sells for $250 in a six pack. Reports TechCrunch.
