"Half Life" series' latest rumor involves a big Steam leak. Reports are claiming that the "Half-Life 3" is coming to the PC platform, but game publisher Valve is still tight lipped and refuses to give light to any of the information going around.
The "Half Life 3" series was spotted to be included in the Steam Database. However, there have been several issues since the beginning. One of the major issues in the game series was pointed out that the correct written title is with a hyphen in between the two words "Half-life." Another problem is the fact that developers can make a depo with the same name, although it is still not clear why they would do such a thing, unless they want to troll the PC gamers.
"Half Life 3" depo spot is not happening for the first time. This has made many fans doubt over the truth of the information, MNR reported.
The "Half Life 3" rumors were disputed by Computer game designer from Valve Corp. Marc Laidlaw. "Half Life" Reddit page user sent Laidlaw an email which said, "I can't comment on Valve's internal process but it sounds like someone is trolling. Anonymous sources have been posting speculation masquerading as inside knowledge since the 'Half-Life 1' delay in 1997."
"If it's any comfort, please rest assured that in my experience at Valve, fear is the last thing that would ever drive a decision about what to work on," the Valve Corp game designer added.
"Half-Life" series has not been updated since its last instalment 10 years ago. Fans of the game are still patiently waiting for Valve to release an official announcement about the development of the highly anticipated game.
