"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will likely feature a new character Vilgefortz in "Blood and Wine" DLC, as well as 20 hours of intense gameplay within the expansion.
CD Projekt RED released two screenshots of the region of Toussaint in "The Witcher 3's" second expansion, "Blood and Wine". As seen in the photos, Toussaint is a peaceful and colorful kingdom compared to the crime ridden and chaotic regions of Novigrad, Gamerant reported.
However, the synopsis for "Blood and Wine" DLC revealed that the kingdom of Toussaint appears to be more than it seems as Geralt may soon discover that the region not plagued by war or violence may hide a very dark secret,
CD Projekt has not given out the full plot details for "Blood and Wine" DLC, but the game publisher hinted that the new expansion will be twice as big as the previous DLC, "Hearts of Stone" as gamers will have atleast 20 hours of gamplay time to explore the region of Toussaint, Gamepur reported.
Community Manager Marcin Momot stated in an interview that "Blood and Wine" DLC will have several new gameplay features based on the feedbacks from fans. The new features will added specifically for the expansion similar to the Rune Words from "Hearts of Stone" expansion in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt".
New characters are also being introduced in "Blood and Wine" that have not been present in the games and CD Projekt RED looks to add these new faces from the novels. Two characters were already been hinted to join "Blood and Wine" such as Fringello Vigo and her cousin, the Dutchess of Touissant Anna Henrietta.
YouTube username LastKnownMeal speculated that the mage Vilgefortz could be added in "Blood and Wine" DLC expansion. Vilgefortz is a young talented mage from the Chapter of Sorcerers who is also obsess with Ciri due to her magical heritage. Both Geralt and Yennefer fought and defeated Vilgefortz during the attack on Castle Stygga and will likely shape certain events behind the scenes in the new DLC expansion.
CD Projekt RED stated that "Blood and Wine" DLC will launch in the early months of 2016 around January-June as the game publisher is still discussing the official release date of the expansion.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available in stores for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
