The NBA trade rumors are in full swing, and Carmelo Anthony is a big name possibly on the move if an ESPN Insider has his way.

There was already a prediction that Carmelo would not be on the Knicks line-up after the trade deadline. Bill Simmons responded to a query on Reddit.

"I think Houston has one big December/January move in them... and I don't think Carmelo makes it to February... and I think Boston has a 4-for-1 trade in them. But I don't know what comes first."

Now that trade season has begun, Carmelo Anthony is still frustrated even with the presence of Kristaps Porzingis, and time is running out for him to contend for a championship.

In a discussion on ESPN Insider, Chad Ford cited Melo moving to the Miami Heat as the "trade he would like to see happen."

"Carmelo to the Heat, Robin Lopez to the Kings and a combination headlined by Justise Winslow and Willie Cauley-Stein to the Knicks (with other players included for salary matching)," Ford suggested. "Miami is a place where Anthony might agree to go, the Kings would get a center who adds defense and toughness and the Knicks would get two good prospects that intrigued them before the 2015 draft. While the Knicks would be taking a step back, it would show they were serious about building a great team."

The trade definitely needs tweaking and might actually be a precursor to another trade. The dubious movie is sending Lopez to the Kings, when the team already has DeMarcus Cousins.

Focusing on Carmelo Anthony, the Knicks would definitely ask for more than two fellow rookies (Winslow and Cauley-Stein) and their need for a point guard has yet to be addressed in this proposed deal.

However, Miami is a place where Carmelo can contend. He will join familiar faces in Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade and they have a point guard in Goran Dragic and for the remainder of this season, they have Hassan Whiteside. It's easy to imagine Melo waiving his no-trade clause for that.
