The zombie drama "Walking Dead" is adding several new faces halfway its fifth season coming this February. A new character is confirmed for inclusion to its cast on the second half of its fifth season. Ross Marquand, who portrayed Paul Newman in an episode on "Mad Men" Season 6 and voiced Han Solo on "Phineas and Ferb," will join the cast, according to Cinema Blend.
Marquand's role as a prominent gay character on the zombie drama is still under wraps. However, the name of his character was revealed as Aaron. His debut on the series is still indefinite is said that his character will be a regular mainstay on the second half of the smash hit drama's fifth season.
Joining Andrew Lincoln, Steven Yeun and Norman Reedus, Marquand is set to play "Walking Dead" Season 5's first gay character. In November 2014, Kirkman disclosed that a prominent gay character shall emerge halfway of Season 5.
Spoilers of the second half of Season 5 were released online but the network remains silent on what exactly are the specifics of Marquand's role. It only tells that his character Aaron got its first encounter in Issue 67 of Image Comics' "Walking Dead" and resides within the secured community called the Alexandria Safe-Zone. Apparently, his character works as a recruiter for the community and has Eric as his partner and boyfriend, TVLine revealed.
Nevertheless, the network's producer Scott Gimple has his lips sealed on the details. "Walking Dead" Season 5 will air on AMC on Feb. 8 at 9PM E.T.
