A 46-year-old Saudi Arabian millionaire gave what seems like an incredulous explanation for a rape charge filed by a teenager. However, the jury believed Ehsan Abdulaziz's explanation and cleared him of the accusation.
The unnamed female victim claims that Abdulaziz raped her while she slept on the sofa of his flat in Maida Vale. She fell asleep after a drinking session and woke up with the millionaire on top of her and forcing her to have sex.
But Abdulaziz claims he only tripped and fell on her. At the same time, when he fell, he says his penis could have been peeking out of his underwear. At that time, he just had sex with a 24-year-old friend of the accuser who slept in the bedroom.
After he left the bedroom, Abdulaziz found the accuser on his sofa and approached her to ask if she wanted to wear a T-shirt to sleep or help her get a taxi home. He claims after he tripped and fell on her, the teen placed his hand between her legs.
His excuse for his semen and DNA found inside the teen's organ to his possibly having semen on his hands after sex with the 24-year-old woman. He claims he is fragile and nothing happened between him and the teen, reports USA Today.
After 30 minutes of deliberation, before which Judge Martin Griffiths of the Southwark Crown Court gave the millionaire time to submit evidence in private, the jury acquitted Abdulaziz whom the teen and her friend met at Cirque le Soir nightclub in the West End on Aug. 7, 2014, reports Daily Mail.
Abdulaziz is married and has a 10-year-old son by his Czech wife. However, the two were vacationing at the time the alleged rape took place. He admitted to the court that he and his wife are separated but live in the same house, although she sleeps in another bedroom with their son. The millionaire says he had not sex in eight years.
