For those who are considering jumping ship from a contract service to non-contract ones, T-Mobile is again stepping forward towards victory in the prepaid market as it unveiled a new plan called "Simply Plan," which has unlimited data, text and voice, Chip Chick reported.

The new "Simply Plan" will rival other competitors in the prepaid market such Virgin Mobile, Boost, Page Plus and even its own prepaid arm, MetroPCS.

It can be recalled that MetroPCS merged with T-Mobile in 2013 and it has been its dedicated prepaid arm since then. It is said that though there are new offerings coming from T-Mobile, MetroPCS still gives a better value to its consumers.

According to CNET, the new Simply Plans offers three variations: the cheapest is $40 with unlimited voice, text and data plus 1GB of 4G LTE; $50 with unlimited text, voice and data plus 3GB LTE; and, $60 with unlimited data, voice and text plus up to 5GB 4G LTE. There is catch though as the speed is capped at 8 Mbps and will throttle to 128 Kbps once the subscriber hit the allotted speed per month.

The new offering from T-Mobile will allow subscribers to do a free Wi-Fi calling, perks of being a T-mobile customer, though Simply Prepaid subscribers will not be able to  take advantage of Simple Global, tethering, Music Freedom and Data Stash.

The new plan will roll in the market on Jan. 25, 2015 and will be available at T-Mobile online store, dedicated T-Mobile retail stores, authorized retailers and Simply Prepaid authorized dealers.

It is worthy to note that T-Mobile introduced its data roll-over program in Dec. 2014 that allows subscribers to save their unused data to roll-over in the succeeding months. This program is specifically for subscribers who pay for at least 3GB 4G LTE every month.
