Before Vanessa Hudgens took the stage for the play "Gigi," she received messages from her "High School Musical" co-stars Ashley Tisdale and Monique Coleman, who both took to Twitter to wish her good luck.

"Only thing I have to say when I know my girl @VanessaHudgens is about to kill on stage is 'break a leg, In theater that means good luck!' #hsm," Tisdale tweeted.

Coleman also wrote, "I'm over the moon excited for my darling @VanessaHudgens #openingnight of @GigiOnBroadway! Wish I could be there to see her shine!"

"Gigi," which marked Hudgens' Broadway stage debut, opened in the evening of Jan. 16 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

Hudgens, Tisdale and Coleman starred in "High School Musical" with Zac Efron, Lucas Gabriel, Corbin Bleu, Olesya Rulin, Chris Warren Jr., Ryne Sanborn, KayCee Stroh, Bart Johnson and Alyson Reed, among others.
