Janet Jackson asked on Thursday for prayers from fans for a surgery that she would undergo. The medical procedure is the reason behind why the sister of the King of Pop is postponing her "Unbelievable World Tour."

She did not provide information what type of surgery she would undergo and if she is suffering from any ailment that requires a medical procedure. However, Jackson's post on her website and social media accounts indicate it is not a minor procedure since she cites that it is not only her but also the family and her company that is going through a rough period.

But the 49-year-old singer assured fans "Gon'b alright." To quell any inquiries about her health, she adds, "There will be no further comment."

Another clue that the surgery could be a major one is the lack of a specific date for the postponed tour to promote Jackson's 11th album "Unbreakable." Since the last postponed tour listed is on June 29, it indicates a need for at least six months to recover from the surgery.

The album was released in October after Jackson's hiatus from making albums for seven years. "Unbelievable" reached the top spot in Billboard, Jackson's seventh No. 1 album.

The tour began in Aug. 31 in Vancouver, Canada. Her next stop was supposed to be on Jan. 9 in Denver, Colorado. She was schedule to have 47 shows throughout 2016, reports Billboard. Jackson's calendar says she was supposed to be in St. Louis on Feb. 14, Kansas City on Feb. 15 and Salt Lake City on June 29.

Ticketholders of these postponed concerts have been assured that their tickets would be honored on new dates.

Over the years that she has been in the public eye, there has been not much news about Jackson's health. In a CNN interview in 2010 to promote a book, Jackson recounts having body-image issues when she was younger, stopped being a vegan and added fish to her diet because her trained said she needs more protein, and had colonics monthly when she was a pre-teen.
