The Samsung Galaxy A9, the newest smartphone in the Galaxy A series is now official. Its performance benchmarks have revealed that it can deliver performance like Sony Xperia Z5 and HTC One M9.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 that was announced in the previous week through a launch event in China comes with a massive Super AMOLED display of 6-inch. It is capable of delivering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The metal-clad handset that comes in colors like white, gold and pink boasts slimmer bezels of 2.74 mm, Fone Arena reported.
The Snapdragon 652 chipset is present under the hood of the Galaxy A9. It comprises of a 64-bit octa-core processor that works at 1.8 GHz along with Adreno 510 graphics. The Qualcomm chip is supported by 3 GB of RAM.
On AnTuTu benchmarks, the Samsung Galaxy A9 has scored 73,952. In comparison to high-end smartphones like Sony Xperia Z5 and HTC One M9 that are powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset and have scored 76,862 and 76,965, respectively, the Galaxy A9 has recorded an impressive score on AnTuTu, Phone Arena reported.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 features a native storage of 32 GB whereas the external storage supports up to 128 GB of microSD card. The rear panel of the smartphone houses a f/1.9 aperture 13 MP shooter. It is equipped with features like Optical Image Stabilization and flash. The front-facing camera provided on the device is of 8 MP.
The Galaxy A9 will deliver Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box experience. The fingerprint scanner embedded under the Home button will work with Samsung Pay mobile payment service. As of this writing, there is no confirmation on its price and availability.
