The NBA Trade rumors on DeMarcus Cousins persist even despite the adamant denials by the Sacramento Kings brass.

According to NBC Sports, the Kings are more likely to fire Coach George Karl rather than trade their young center.

"Cousins is the franchise player, an All-NBA talent who's just 25 and signed until 2018," NBC stated. "Karl is more easily replaced than Cousins, and it's not even close."

However, there is something they should consider. If they fire George Karl they'll be back to square one with the same roster, whereas trading Cousins will give them a haul to chart a new direction for themselves-perhaps even more valuable in the long run than Cousins himself.

The rumors continue to swirl but in Celtics Blog, a site for the fan base that's most aggressive in pursuing Boogie, even they are losing hope. In a Celtics Beat podcast, Sporting News' Sean Deveney seems to have thrown down the hammer.

"The Sacramento Kings have pretty much no interest in trading him and people are just naturally tying him to the Boston Celtics because the Kings stink and the Celts have all these assets so therefore the Celtics must be in play."

Deveney mentioned that according to "everyone he's talked to, the Kings won't trade Cousins."

The hope is that "Trader Danny" Ainge can swing a "Godfather deal" to the Kings to make them think twice, but recently Cousins threw another fit and almost went after an official, as ESPN reports, could possibly face NBA discipline.

Even with these episodes, there are teams who want to take a shot at Cousins believing he will thrive in a better system. Are these tantrums indicative of a possible trade request/demand from Cousins-which is probably the only way the Kings would deal him?
