Josh Duhamel's wife Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas is promoting her new single "LA Love" and is set to release her second solo album as she graces the February 2015 issue of the Allure magazine.
In an interview with the magazine, Fergie talked about how she and Duhamel strengthen their marriage after six years and the marriage counselling they undergo. The Black Eyed Peas female singer admitted that her husband Duhamel is not afraid of marriage counselling as it does not make him feel less of a man.
The couple is celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary and Fergie confessed that as a couple, they try not to be away from each other for more than two weeks. It is their two-week rule agreement. They also have an arrangement on how to go with their careers while having baby Axl with them. There would be times when she would take Axl on the set while Duhamel gets a job, and vice versa.
“My husband and I made a two-week rule; we’ve already talked about how we’re going to have to trade off. He’s going to have to come on tour with Axl for a while, and then there’ll be a break. He’ll take a job; I’ll be on set with [Axl]. You know?” she said.
Fergie’s last solo album “The Dutchess” was released eight years ago despite having Black Eyed Peas album releases in 2009 and 2010, The pop singer felt like coming back is a big pressure for her. She will be releasing her second solo album “LA Love” this spring.
In the interview with the magazine, Fergie also said that she and Duhamel were not a perfect fit when they first met. She explained that both parties grew up together and realized how they wanted the same things in life.
Both Fergie and Duhamel came from Catholic families and wanted the same path in life.
