"Les Miserables" star Anne Hathaway confirmed she is pregnant by posting on Monday on Instagram her beach photo wearing a red bikini.
The 33-year-old actress writes, "So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed."
She continues, "I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should be at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter," reports Huffington Post.
Like many celebrities, Hathaway is hounded by paparazzis and she figures out she could beat them by posting the pregnant photos ahead of the photographers. The picture got more than 250,000 likes and almost 7,000 comments.
The baby would be a first for Hathaway and husband Adam Shulman who were married in 2012. Although her pregnancy was revealed in November 2015, she never publicly confirmed it, notes Entertainment Weekly.
After her 2012 wedding, the actress told The Telegraph that since she was 16, she wanted to become a mother. "I'd like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special," quotes ABC.
Her next movie, to be shown on May 27 is "Alice Through the Looking Glass" which is a sequel to "Alice in Wonderland." Her last film, shown in 2015, was "The Intern." She is currently making "Colossal," with Jason Sudeikis as her co-star.
