The NBA trade rumors saw an unfamiliar team being involved with the Golden State Warriors.
The team is as close as one can get to perfection, but there are still holes to be plugged and uncertainties in the future.
One of the few holes that the Warriors reportedly want to plug is Marreese Speights. CSN Bay Area opened up the possibility of the Warriors seeking trades because of their "stretch five's" deteriorated play.
"Warriors general manager Bob Myers, like most executives, doesn't talk trade-possibility specifics," CSN explained. "But he surely realizes that when Curry, Thompson and Green are off the floor, scoring comes with considerable toil and strife."
On that note, "the front office is studying the trade market, because if Speights can't find his form, and soon, the Warriors will seek out another stretch four, somebody Walton or Kerr can call when they need a scoring punch."
The name that came up was Channing Frye, and it was speculated by Jalen Rose in his ESPN podcast that "the Golden State Warriors are trying to do everything they can to get Channing Frye. " This may be a surprise deal at the deadline.
However, that may not be as easy for the Warriors as the Orlando Magic may not let go of their sweet-shooting big man, as Hoops Habit considered him "unmovable."
"The Orlando Magic have finally found consistency and a formula that is working for them, and if you dig a little deeper it's clear Frye is a pretty important factor in the turnaround of this team's fortunes-one of the more notable comeback stories of the year," HH's Luke Duffy stated.
