Editor

We are looking for a passionate web editor to research, plan, write and edit web content.

The successful candidate should be a skilled writer and researcher, with an eye for detail and an understanding of the special requirements of web writing. The goal is to produce creative web content to appeal to our audience.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and publish new content in a creative way
  • Liaise with clients and in-house team members to decide on new posts
  • Oversee layout (images, graphics, videos, and artwork)

Requirements

Social Media Manager

We’re looking for someone with a passion for great storytelling (written, photo, video) and social conversation to supercharge our audience growth and engagement across our social platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all of YIBADA's social media accounts, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.
  • Shape how we frame, package, and distribute content (written, photo, video) to maximize visibility, increase referrals, drive engagement and audience growth.
  • Work closely with editorial and marketing teams to package content, interpret data, share insights, and inform content development.
  • Encourage and facilitate audience conversations on social channels.
  • Institute social listening processes to inform content strategy.
  • Maintain relationships with social influencers, publishers, and platforms to extend our audience reach.
  • Keep up to date with social trends and strategy; recommend changes, optimizations, and share learnings across all teams.
  • Monitor the news cycle to ensure our social channels are consistently up to date and relevant.

Requirements

  • Understand both Chinese and English very well.
  • 3-5 years managing social media platforms at a major travel or lifestyle media brand.
  • A proven track record of supercharging engagement and growing audiences.
  • Excellent ability to write compelling, clean social copy that makes content pop and engages readers.
  • Deep experience using social reporting tools and effectively translating data into actionable insights with impactful results.

Graphic Designer

YIBADA is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer in New York. As a graphic designer, you'll need to listen to clients and understand their needs before making design decisions.

Responsibilities

You may need to manage more than one design brief at a time and typical activities include:
  • Design/create infographic, website, advertising, books, magazines, posters, flyer, print work, and so on for YIBADA or YIBADA's clients'
  • Meeting clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job;
  • Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients;
  • Developing design briefs that suit the client's purpose;
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design;
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
  • Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers;
  • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
  • Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print;
  • Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Arts or another related field
  • Understand both Chinese and English very well
  • Two or more years of production graphic design work
  • Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair
  • Solid experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with HTML and CSS is preferred
  • Experience designing infographics is a plus
  • A flexible approach when working in a team
  • Excellent communication skills in order to interpret and negotiate briefs with clients
  • Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to clients and colleagues
