"Love the Way You Lie" collaborators Eminem and Rihanna are among the most famous mononymous artists of today and so is Rihanna's "Work" collaborator Drake. Recently, "Pillowtalk" singer Zayn Malik followed suit as he is now professionally known as Zayn.
Born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, Eminem released his debut studio album "Infinite." As an actor, he appeared as himself in the 2000 horror comedy film "Da Hip Hop Witch" and had an uncredited appearance in the 2001 Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre starrer "The Wash" before starring in the 2002 film "8 Mile" opposite Kim Basinger and the late Brittany Murphy.
Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" collaborator was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty in Saint Michael, Barbados. She recently released her eight studio album "Anti" with 13 songs including her collaboration song with Drake titled "Work."
Drake was born Aubrey Drake Graham in Ontario, Canada. His debut studio album titled "Thank Me Later" was released in 2010.
In 2009, Drake released a song titled "Forever," which was from LeBron James's documentary "More Than a Game" soundtrack. The single featured Eminem, Kanye West and Lil Wayne. In 2010, he set a record as the hip hop artist who sold with the most records in one week but it was surpassed by Eminem after one week with the album "Recovery."
On the other hand, Zayn released his single "Pillowtalk" on Jan. 29. It is the lead single from his upcoming debut solo studio album titled "Mind of Mine," which will be released on March 25.
After leaving the British male group One Direction, Zayn decided to be a mononymous artist like Eminem, Rihanna and Drake prior to the release of his debut album as a solo artist. His new song "Pillowtalk" is currently the fastest-selling single of 2016, according to Official Charts.
Meanwhile, it appears that Zayn is currently enjoying success in love and career. A source told E! News that Zayn and Gigi Hadid's relationship is getting serious.
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles radio show "Zach Sang and the Gang," Zayn commented on One Direction's "History" music video. Watch it here:
