Dr. T is the mad scientist responsible for the Blackguard’s Artifact Weaponization Project in freemium mobile strategy video game “Boom Beach,” which was developed by Supercell for iOS and Android.

Dr. T, the mad scientist responsible for the Blackguard's Artifact Weaponization Project in "Boom Beach," has written a song about his super weapon. The song was featured in-game on Jan. 15 and in the freemium mobile strategy video game's recent ad, which went viral on YouTube.

The 30-second viral video ranked fourth in the list of the 10 most-viewed ads on YouTube in January. The creative agency behind the ad is Barton F Graf.

Only the videos that were marked as ads on YouTube with significant organic views are considered for Google's YouTube Ads Leaderboard, according to AdWeek. With the "Boom Beach" ad at number four, the recent list is dominated by Barton F Graf's "Clash of Clans: Traps" and "Clash of Clans: A Special Map" ads at numbers one and two, consecutively, followed by Omelet's "#Pokemon20: Pokemon Super Bowl Commercial" at number three.

Behind the "Boom Beach" ad in the list is the ads "America: Bernie Sanders" and "Drone Racing League: The Sport of the Future- DRL" at numbers five and six, respectively. Also in the list are "Meet the real Jelly Queen!- TV ad- Candy Crush Jelly Saga," "Dear Kitten: Beginnings// Presented by BuzzFeed & Friskies," "Invasion" and "The Trump Tapes: Vol. 1."

Before its wide release on March 26, 2014, "Boom Beach" was soft launched on Nov. 11, 2013 in Canada. The strategy game was developed by Supercell for iOS and Android.

The storyline of "Boom Beach" is similar to that of "Clash of Clans," which is also a Supercell game. With the player on an island with defenses and troops, it is set in a tropical archipelago.

With its periodic events, "Boom Beach" is so interesting that a University of Buffalo professor incorporated it into her teaching methodology. Her innovative teaching methodology won her the Teaching Innovation Award from her university in 2014.

"I try to make things novel and fun," the university student publication The Spectrum quoted Moore-Russo as saying. She added that she uses many game-based learning elements and she plays many online games, including "Boom Beach" and "Clash of Clans," where she gets ideas to implement into her teaching.

After almost two months since it was published on New Year on YouTube, the video game ad titled "Boom Beach: Dr. T's Song (Official TV Commercial)" received more than 3.5 million views. Watch it here:
