It appears that Sony's PlayStation 4 is winning the battle over Microsoft's Xbox One, based on sold units.

It appears that Sony's PlayStation 4 is winning the battle over Microsoft's Xbox One, based on sold units. If these two gaming consoles are compared, a definite 50 percent lead is in favor of PlayStation 4 units.

Xbox One was released in November of 2013, and since its release date, it has reached 18 million sold units. However, Sony's PlayStation sold an estimate of 36 million units. These numbers shows that Microsoft needs some changes on strategy to at least even out the battle, or might as well take the lead.

Since then, several updates and latest innovations have been launched by Microsoft over the past months. Among the latest from Microsoft is launching MS Windows 10, then here comes "Quantum Break" exclusivity on Xbox One. Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft stated that their concentration is on the improvement and development of what they already have, which the company think would put them back on top, BizTekMojo reported.

To better understand why PS4 sales are miles away from Xbox Ones', a close comparison was done. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One's console design is the first factor for gamers, both consoles look great and they are both chic and ideally made for console games enthusiasts, Alphr noted.

One major factor in Xbox One that caught the attention of the gamers and needs to be improved is the necessity for external power supply. Another major factor is game controllers, as this is one of the most essential parts of any gaming consoles. Gamers need to feel comfortable because it's their link to the game that they're playing. PS4 controllers are the greatest version of controllers Sony has ever designed, and its touchpad is not much of use though. Xbox One controllers, on the other hand, is said to be the most comfortable controller ever.

It appears that both gaming console possesses the true quality in providing the next-generation experience to its users. The only reason why PS4 is winning the battle is because of its popularity. Another possible reason is that PS4 has better graphics than Xbox One, which gives more hype to the gamers and shows true next generation power.
