New LG X series: LG bringing camera, screen choices with its LG X Screen, LG X Cam at MWC 2016?

LG is coming up with new smartphones starting with the letter "X" - the LG X screen and LG X cam.

There is a new strategy that has been implemented by the South Korean gadget maker, LG.  Instead of innovating previous generation of smartphones with a price tag, they have addressed it to the needs of the buyers. They simply say that it is not just the about size, like the K series, but focused more on wallet-friendly smartphone photography.

Currently, it is coming up with new smartphones starting with the letter "X." The LG X screen and LG X cam have similarities in the name and price range, but they will be used for various reasons.

A device made to focus on photography clearly points to the LG X cam. It is, however, centered for that purpose, more than the LG K10. The major reason for this is having two rear cameras - one is a 13MP sensor and the other is 5MP. At its front is an 8MP shooter, which seems great to use for video chats and selfies. The dual camera combo has existed before for additions of special effects as well as the quality of the pictures for depth sensing, among many others.

The LG cam comes with great specs that can entice buyers, such as the 1.14 GHz octa-core chipset, 16GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM. It is packed with a 5.2-inch screen with Full HD resolution. It has a 2,520mAh battery with LTE support. You can suit yourself with the various colour options such as Pink Gold, White, Gold, Titan Silver.

Whenever you hear the LG screen name, you might presume that this is the one with the "advanced screen" the South Korean company is talking about, which is right. If you think that this screen provides a higher resolution screen than the X cam, it is wrong. The smaller handset is only packed with a 4.3-inches HD screen. The "advanced screen" is referred to having a second screen with 520x80P LCD strip that can be used for quick app switching and clear visible notifications.

As compared to the LG X cam, the rest of the specs of an X screen is less interesting. It only has a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU for a processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It only has a 13MP rear camera, with a frontal 8MP sensor. This has also 16GB of storage, with 2,300mAh battery. It only has a limited selection of Black, Pink Gold and White.

Both gadgets run Android 6.0 Marshmallow; however, no microSD slots are provided. There is no available price for each of the device, but it is anticipated to be out in March for Latin America, Europe and Asian markets. Bad news though, as these devices will not be featured during the MWC 2016 next week.

Another interesting fact about the LG X cam is its dual camera setup, which can conceptualize the LG G5's sole combination.
