'The Elder Scrolls' is a series of action role-playing open world fantasy video games primarily developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks.

While Bethesda's "Fallout 4" emerged successful, many fans have been wishing to see another installment of "Elder Scrolls."

There might be a ray of hope since Bethesda Softworks recently posted four new jobs on its official website. Could this be an indication that the development of "Elder Scroll 6" is about to commence?

The post stated that Bethesda is looking for a game programmer, an engine programmer, and two graphics programmers. The job posting as well revealed that Jeff Gardiner, the lead producer of "Fallout 4," and Dave Schreiber, sound designer of "Skyrim," are on the list as well for the unannounced game.

It would be wise, however, not to raise hopes that the development team is indeed working on "Elder Scrolls 6." In February, lead designer Todd Howard told Polygon that the development teams were working on three different games, making it the first time for Bethesda to work on multiple games at the same time.

Howard said, "We actually have three longer term projects that we're doing that are all... We'll talk about them at a future date. But they're different to anything we've done before, while also being a Bethesda-style game. Big and crazy but in many ways different to things we've done before."

There are high chances that the new job posts will be for a very different IP or it could indeed be for a new "Elder Scrolls" game. Rumors have it that the new game will not be a new "Fallout" game considering that "Fallout 4" came out just last year. It is indicated that any staff member not working on "Fallout 4" and its DLC packs would be assigned a new project.

The last main game in the franchise, apart from the "MMORPG," was "Skyrim" and it was released back in 2011. As a result, fans have been clamoring for a new title in the franchise for some year now, which explains why most rumors about the new job postings point to a new "Elder Scrolls" game.

Here is footage to get a glimpse of what "Elder Scrolls 6" might look like.
