Although "Fallout 4" had a successful launch, some Bethesda fans wished they had had hands on "The Elder Scrolls 6" before getting another foray into the post apocalyptic universe where mutants and horrible creatures are the norm.
Bethesda's vice president of public relations and marketing, Pete Hines, took to Twitter earlier this week to respond to a number of questions on why the company unveiled games in the order they did. At the same time, Hines defended the decision besides talking about some controversy that has arisen about the DLC plans for "Fallout 4," according to Gaming Bolt.
Some fans specifically wanted to know why some people who get upset about Bethesda's plans. Hines stated via Twitter:
@alirezasc ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ People get upset when we stop making/selling DLC for Skyrim. People get upset when we make/sell more DLC for Fallout 4

When the vice president was challenged concerning some people wanting another "Elder Scrolls 6" as opposed to "Fallout 4," Hines said:
@Wilkolek we had the biggest launch in company history w Fallout 4. That includes Skyrim. So...no

Seemingly, the developer company had a good perspective on which game was sought after more and that is why they unveiled and worked on "Fallout 4" first. In a different tweet, the vice president revealed that the development teams at Bethesda have some liberty when it comes to deciding what to work on. The team must have decided to complete "Fallout 4" before embarking on "Elder Scrolls 6."
@Wilkolek i appreciate the feedback. we allow our teams to manage their own projects and dev cycles

According to a different report by the same publication, there is a slim chance that fans might see an announcement of the next "Elder Scrolls 6" later this year.
Bethesda does not split teams to work on different games, and therefore, fans should expect to hear about "TES 6" by 2017. Furthermore, the company has a tradition of releasing a new "Elder Scrolls" after every four years, which points towards a 2019 release for "TES 6."
