Indiana Jones 5 announced to be released in 2019

Disney has announced "Indiana Jones 5," scheduled to hit the cinemas in 2019. The next Dr. Jones adventure will continue to see Harrison Ford in the leading role while the original director George Lucas will be replaced by Stephen Spielberg.

"Indiana Jones 5" is going to be a reality, and the famous movie franchise will be revived by Disney and Lucasfilm, who have announced 2019 to be the year of release. While Lucas, the original creator of the character, is not participating in the new venture, Spielberg crashes into the scene who has previously worked with Ford in 2011's Cowboys and Aliens, DeadLine reported.

The next action-packed adventure film is yet to receive a full title and the plot is also far from public's imagination. The first four installments of "Indiana Jones" were given storyline by Lucas but he is not undertaking any part of the upcoming rolling, however, Kathleen Kennedy and original producer Frank Marshal, both from Lucasfilm, will be producing the new movie.

"Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can't wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019," Wired quoted Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn as saying. He also added that such a combination director, producers, actor and role are both rare and perfect and they could not be more thrilled to hit the road again with Ford and Spielberg on this new adventure.

The original "Indiana Jones" trilogy, in which Ford was still his more energetic days, were set in the 1930s. Then the grand return of the franchise in 2008 with "Crystal Skull" saw an older Dr. Jones, who also had a teenage son, which forced the timeline to depict the 1950s. Based on the careful archival sequencing of the filmmakers and the fact that by 2019 Ford will have turned 77, the next movie is expected to flash forward to 1960s.

The actor, however, seems in a vibrant position as fans watched him in action the latest in Lucas' another sci-fi fantasy drive, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Billed to be released in July 2019, "Indiana Jones 5" will once again rock the fantasy fans with aliens, conspiracy and a lot of classic action.

Until "Indiana Jones 5" arrives, refresh good memories with the trailer of "Crystal Skull."
