Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani attend the 2016 Pre-GRAMMY Gala and Salute to Industry Icons honoring Irving Azoff at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Gwen Stefani recently shared her opinions about having a gay son. The No Doubt frontwoman and her former husband Gavin Rossdale have three sons namely Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, 9, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, 7, and Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale, 2.

"I would be blessed with a gay son," Stefani told Pride Source when she was asked what she would say to one her sons if he came out as gay to her one day. "You know that I would feel blessed about that."

What Stefani just wants, she said, is for her sons to be happy and healthy. She said she just asks God to guide her every day to be a good mother, which she said is not an easy job.

Stefani considers herself having been lucky enough to have "such a blessed life" and having been able to travel the world and meet various kinds of people, she believes that it does not really matter if a person is straight or gay.

For Stefani, whatever journey God gives her sons is their journey. What she said she needs to do is to be there to be the most supportive mother that she can be.

The former "The Voice" coach and now the girlfriend of country music superstar Blake Shelton said she always ask her gay friends what it was like when they were young. She said most of her gay friends are talented.

For Stefani, homosexuality does not seem different or weird anymore because it is normal to her. She also revealed that she just watched the Eddie Redmayne starrer "The Danish Girl," which she described as an incredible movie that depicts how homosexuality was perceived long ago.

In another interview with GQ, Stefani talked about her relationship with Shelton. She said, everything happened fast and it was "all happening in real time" in the sense that "Used to Love You" came out only a couple weeks after she wrote it.

"Used to Love You" is from Stefani's third studio album titled "This is What the Truth Feels Like." Watch the music video of the song about a painful breakup here:
