Gwen Stacy shares a drink with a mysterious character in new "Spider-Man: Dead No More" teaser.

The hype of the upcoming "Spider-Man: Dead No More" is growing already, particularly now that Marvel just released the latest in a long line of teaser images that features the return of one of the most important people in Peter Parker's life.

The latest "Dead No More" image from artist Alexander Lozano features the image of a perfectly healthy Gwen Stacy, who is sharing a drink with a mysterious character in a red jacket. As recalled, Stacy broadly died at the hands of the Green Goblin in June-July 1973's "The Night Gwen Stacy Died" story arc.

While it is no news that the development has already seen several dead characters return to life, including Parker's Uncle Ben, the apparent reveal of Stacy and a male companion infers the controversial "Sins Past" storyline, NewsArama.com reported.

The said storyline comes from J. Michael Straczynski's "Amazing Spider-Man," where it was revealed that Stacy had a mystery tryst with Norman Osborn that later produced a twin - a daughter named Sarah and a son, Gabriel.

The released of the fifth teaser is said to be a part of the complete picture that is being formed, which would eventually shed some light on who is at the focal point of the conflict. Earlier this week, the fourth teaser concentrates more on the three villains - Rhino, Electro, and Lizard - who joins the battle against Spidey's mysterious foe, The Comic Book Resources reported.

Some aficionados and reports then speculated on how the whole chaotic events will unfold. The rumor mill has it that the metallic tentacle that Spider-Man along with the trio is battling have something to do with Doctor Octopus.

The said supervillain, also known as Dr. Otto Octavius, is a highly intelligent mad scientist who uses four intense and mechanical extremities. However, Doctor Octopus' consciousness was last discovered caught inside Annamarie's robot assistant.

To date, the exact nature of the event and the storyline remains obscure. "Dead No More" finally kicks off on May 7 amid Marvel's Free Comic Book Day titles.
