‘Legends of Tomorrow’ cast news, updates: Rip crosses the line in episode 10; Patrick J. Adams features as surprise DC character [VIDEO]

DC's “Legends of Tomorrow” is an American action-adventure television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, and Phil Klemmer.

The CW has released episode 10 stills for DC's "Legends of Tomorrow," revealing Rip crossing the line. On the other hand, Patrick J. Adams will feature in season finale as a surprise DC character.

"Legends of Tomorrow" episode 10 titled "Progeny" will air on April 7, and according to Coming Soon, the episode is described as follows:

"Rip (Arthur Darvill) tells the team they are headed to the future to take out a powerful ally that Savage (guest star Casper Crump) needs in order to conquer the world. However, when Rip reveals the ally is a 14 year-old boy (guest star Cory Gruter-Andrew) who will one day grow into an evil dictator, the team is split about the morality of killing a child, even if it does save the world."

In the upcoming episode, Sara (Caity Lotz) dishes on Snart (Wentworth Miller) through a violent patch as Ray (Brandon Routh) discovers something that could affect his future with Kendra (Ciara Renée). Marc Guggenheim, Greg Berlanti, Phil Klemmer, Andrew Kreisberg, Sarah Schechter, and Chris Fedak are executive producers of the series.

"Legends of Tomorrow" features Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), Ray Palmer/The ATOM (Brandon Routh), Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), and Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber). Other characters include Jefferson "Jax" Jackson/Firestorm (Franz Drameh), Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Mick Rory/Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée), and Cater Hall/Hawkman (Falk Hentschell).

Meanwhile, there were rumors that "Legends of Tomorrow" will introduce a mysterious DC character in the season finale. Patrick J. Adams has been tapped to play the rumored character, whose identity is still unknown, according to Entertainment Weekly. Seemingly, Adams will play a fun character that fans will love.

The "Suits" lead will feature in season finale, titled "Legendary," and season 2 premiere, with the likelihood for more appearances. The series was recently renewed for season 2.

"Legends of Tomorrow" airs every Thursday on The CW at 8 p.m. ET. Watch the clip below to get a glimpse of what happened in episode 9.
