Among the campaigns of the All-China Women's Federation is the promotion of civilized family building.

In a recently organized meeting, the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) has called for the building of civilized families among individuals and groups across the nation, Women of China reported.

Song Xiuyan, vice president and first member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, presided over the meeting.

Song remarked during the event that it is the obligation of the federation's staff to study and "fully implement the key speeches of Chinese President Xi Jinping." She added that the group also eyes to solicit opinions from various government departments and outline a consensus on family-building.

The ACWF vice president also cited the success of the group's Looking for Most Beautiful Families and Good Virtue of Family Building campaigns in 2014, which garnered over 700,000 women participants and has earned widespread attention from the masses.

Both in the communities and in the government, the federation holds such initiatives as part of its efforts to "further standardize the work of civilized family building of party members and cadres," according to the article.

Song recalled during her speech the officials have already held lectures tackling "Civilized Family Building" and have gathered photos relevant to the theme, "I Love My Home." She also lauded that the official website of the Looking for Most Beautiful Families campaign has so far received more than 40,000 online votes.

The ACWF official further noted that over 100,000 staff and workers and at least 72 government officials are partaking in promoting this advocacy.

During the meeting, Song also expressed gratitude to the state officials who have affirmed they are paying close attention to this ACWF campaign.

Zhang Jianping, a government official, noted that the Central Committee of the Communist Party China Working Committee will be working closely with the federation to promote the building of civilized families.

Zhang also remarked his high hopes about the endeavor, stating the such measures are beneficial both to the Chinese families and government officials.
